Talking on the phone or texting while driving is illegal in many countries. And the reason is clear: the practice is dangerous. But how come there isn't a traffic law anywhere against bookworms?
Why on earth would there be a need for such a regulation, you may argue. Who in their right mind would read a book while manoeuvring a vehicle on the road?
Well, this man I saw in Chengdu, China, may have the answer. The front of his cargo tricycle is fitted with a ''desk'' which seemed to have been in service for a while. This transporter guy must have already read quite a few books from the perch of his mobile desk while going about his job. And who knows, some of them might have been law books.
