Bumrungrad International Hospital is hosting the 14th "Living in Bangkok", an annual day-long event that brings together people, organisations and resources that make living in Bangkok a happier, more fulfilling experience for expatriates and their families.
Living in Bangkok 2012 will take place on Saturday from 9am-5pm on the ground floor of Bumrungrad’s main hospital building and at the Sky Lobby on the 10th floor of Bumrungrad International Clinic building, on Sukhumvit Soi 3. Free admission. A complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the Nana BTS station, Exit 1 along Sukhumvit Road, runs throughout the day. For more details, visit www.bumrungrad.com/ livinginbangkok.
Nearly 50 organisations, companies and community groups will be there to facilitate meaningful connections for nearly every aspect of expatriate life.
Visitors can discover the resources they need and can put to good use across a range of interests _ property and relocation, sports and recreation, health and wellness including food and nutrition, home interior and decoration, and financial and insurance services.
Families with children can meet representatives from leading international schools and educational institutions, extra-curricular and learning support programmes serving expat kids of all ages. A kid's corner is available to offer plenty of fun activities.
For expats with a volunteer spirit, the fair is a great way to discover many non-profit charities that welcome new volunteers.
The event also features a range of products, services and organisations that are making greener living a healthy reality. Among them are organic foods and organic produce from Organic Farm, trendy avant-garde eco watches from WeWood, as well as a large selection of popular fair trade products from ThaiCraft.
