The 7th Clutter Sale for Charity, organised by the NewsMakers, will be held on Oct 7 from 10am to 5pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. This year's proceeds will benefit Chulalongkorn Hospital's Haematological Cancer Research Centre under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross.
Well-known antique collector and long-time Thailand resident Anders Normann will conduct a special auction of fine art during this year’s Clutter Sale on Oct 7 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok.
Bargain hunters can browse through 70 booths for vintage clothes, slightly-used fashion accessories, crystal and silverware, home decor, toys and sports equipment donated by Thai celebs, expats and the public as well as members of the diplomatic community.
Businesses have also donated their surplus stock.
In the past, companies like Sisley and ICC donated their overruns while fashion houses Kai Boutique and Paothong sold their catwalk outfits. Visit the "Chic Corner" for reasonably-priced donated brand name purses, fashion accessories and evening wear and join a lucky draw for a chance to win fabulous prizes including air tickets and hotel stays.
This year, a special auction of fine art will provide a rare opportunity for connoisseurs and collectors to acquire a piece of Thailand's rich history and other rare antiques.
The preview is from 10am to 2.30pm at the Montathip 1 Room of the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. The auction begins at 3pm, and will be conducted by well-known antique collector and long-time Thailand resident Anders Normann, consul-general of Denmark.
