Gen Prayuth honoured in Indonesia

The Indonesian Military (TNI) has awarded the visiting Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha the Kartika Eka Paksi Utama star to honour his role in strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.
Antara news agency reported that the award was presented at TNI headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday for his efforts to boost cooperation in military training and education.
During his visit, Gen Prayuth met Indonesian army chief of staff Gen Pramono Edhie Wibowo and at the Ministry of Defence he was received by Defence Minister Purnomo Yusgiantor.
The news agency said the visit by Thai army chief aimed towards improving bilateral relations and stepping up cooperation in defence, including a joint exercise between the two countries' special forces.
At the Ministry of Defence, Gen Prayuth praised Indonesia for offering the "Package of Solutions" that helped resolve problems between Thailand and Cambodia. Indonesia facilitated a tripartite meeting in May last year which was attended by Thai and Cambodian primer ministers.
