The Airport Rail Link will charge a flat 20-baht promotional fare on its City Line between 11am and 2pm, starting on Sunday.
The discounted rate, valid until Dec 31, is aimed at attracting more passengers to use the system which is running at a loss.
Normal fares for the City Line, which runs from the Phaya Thai station to Suvarnabhumi Airport, are between 15 and 45 baht depending on the distance.
Passengers holding Student or Senior Smart Passes remain eligible for fare discounts of 20% and 50% respectively. They will be charged the flat rate if the fares, after normal discounts, exceed 20 baht.
As well, the fare for a one-station trip remains at 15 baht. Other fares and terms outside the promotional hours remain unchanged.
