Hansgrohe upbeat about Decor Mart pact

Germany sanitaryware manufacturer Hansgrohe remains positive its Thai sales will increase thanks to its partnership with Decor Mart, one of Thailand's leading retailers of upscale home interiors and decorative products.

KC Lee, the managing director of Hansgrohe Southeast Asia, said the partnership with Decor Mart widens the business network with leading developers and has more than doubled sales of Hansgrohe.

"After we joined hands with Decor Mart in 2007, our sales substantially improved," he said. "Decor Mart helps us tap the higher-end market and provides a connection with property developers in that segment like Land & Houses and Sansiri."

The 111-year-old Hansgrohe targets the high-end housing segment via property developers, architects and interior designers.

The floods last year increased the sales proportion from end users to 50%, as projects were grounded.

Yesterday it launched a new collection, Axor Starck Organic, by French designer Philippe Starck. The faucet saves water by consuming only 3.5 litres per minute, much less than an average faucet's 5-7 litres.
