A small earthquake with a magnitude of 1.7 on the Richter scale was recorded in Mae Saruay district of Chiang Rai province late last night, the Meteorological Department reported on Friday.
The department’s seismic surveillance bureau reported the tremor at 11.56pm on Thursday.
There were no reports of damage.
