If you reckon education makes you appear nerdy and unattractive, the Office of the Civil Service Commission wants you to think again. The theme for its expo this year is "Education Makes You Look Good", and it's aimed at students planning to further their studies abroad.
The ‘OCSC International Education Expo 2012’ takes place at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, on Oct 27-28 from noon to 7pm.
The "OCSC International Education Expo 2012" offers information and guidance at the Royal Paragon Hall, 5th floor of Siam Paragon on Oct 27-28 from noon to 7pm. The two-day expo will have representatives from more than 200 leading universities, colleges and high schools from 20 countries: Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
Those interested in overseas education can apply directly with the accredited universities at the expo itself or inquire about their programmes, courses, living standards and scholarships information from OCSC and the institutions.
This year's expo also provides special services _ "University Matching" and "Counselling Session" both on Oct 27 from 10am to 11.30am and Oct 28 from 10am to noon. The university matching helps the students choose the right university with the courses they're interested to learn, while the counselling session offers personal advice and guidance on topics such as preparation for international study.
In addition, there are workshops conducted by experts on how to write a statement of purpose and workshops allowing students to test their English skills online.
