Using modern-day science, Mythbusters Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara put everyday myths and urban legends to the test to determine what's busted... and what's confirmed.
Mythbusters 8 begins with Driving In Heels where Savage and Hyneman ponder whether fancy footwear will place you at risk on the road. So they man-up and slip on the fanciest shoes they can find, putting the shoes and themselves to the test behind the wheel of a sports car on an extreme stunt-driving track.
In the episode Bubble Pack Plunge, the Mythbusters team hits the 007 button with a rocket powered ejector seat, and burst the bubble of an internet video sensation.
In Duel Dilemma the entire team cranks up the danger to the max with knives, guns, swords and rockets. Savage and Hyneman start their own history-inspired fight club as they test two myths about duels, one of which involves recreating the infamous scene from The Magnificent Seven.
Mythbusters 8 shows every Friday at 8pm, starting this week, with repeats every Saturday at 7am and 1pm on Discovery Channel.
