The 6th Asia-Europe Editors’ Roundtable, “Multiple Currencies for a Multi-polar World”, is being held in Bangkok, Thailand on Oct 12 and 13, 2012.

The event involves a strong debate on the future role of the Chinese yuan in the global financial markets.

Twenty senior media commentators and financial experts from 18 countries are participating in this top media programme. Some of the eminent speakers are Dr Jae Ha Park (Asian Development Bank Institute), Dr Xu Qiyuan (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), Mr David Pilling (Financial Times), Mr Pierre Rousselin (Le Figaro), and Mr Pichai Chuensuksawadi (Bangkok Post).
