Exports up 0.2% for September

Exports in September totalled US$20.79 billion, up 0.2% on the same month last year, Deputy Commerce Minister Phum Sarapol said on Wednesday.

Imports were down 7.70% from last September to US$19.63 billion, resulting in a total trade surplus of US$1.15 billion, he said. Export value over the first nine months of the year stood at US$172.34 billion, a decline of 1.13% from the same period last year.

Imports totalled US$184.30 billion, an increase of 5.76%, with a total trade deficit of US$11.95 billion, he said.
