Remember the time when girls wore hammer pants, boys turned up the collars of their shirts and the concrete steps of Siam Center were by far the coolest hang-out for youth in Bangkok?

The popular 1980s boy band McIntosh reunites for twin concerts at Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre, Siam Paragon.

That was 30 or so years ago in the 1980s. This generation, now into their 40s or 50s, was given the sobriquet dek boutique or sleek teenagers who identified themselves with the music and songs of McIntosh, one of the most popular bands of that era. And it is to this lot the band is dedicating its reunion concert labelled "McIntosh 30th Anniversary Concert: Memories of Yesteryear".

It is the band's first concert in two decades, and they promise to evoke the nostalgia of days gone by with hits from their tracks recorded between 1981 and 1987. Back together on stage are Wongsakorn "Ton" Rasmidathe, Sombat "Miew" Kajornchaiyakul, Sumet "Nid" Naksawad, Kitiphan "Moo" Punkabutra, Marutha "Prince" Rattanasamphan, Worathep "Peng" Luengsirapornchai and Somkiat "Nui" Chuansomboon.

And they will crooning hits such as Jai Sayew (Electrifying Heart), Wan Wan Young Whan Yoo (Sweet Yesterday), Lom Hai Jai Khong Khwam Kid Thueng (Breath of Desire), Mae Nam Niran (Eternal River), and Ahlai Ruk (Missing Love). The concert will also feature other pop idols from the 80s such as Sunthorn "Jeed" Sucharitchan of the band Royal Sprite, Saichon Radomkit of the Innocent, Od-Khiriboon and Jued-Forever. They will be joined by current stars including Tu-Phobthorn and Rose-Sirinthip.
