Thaksin plans trip to Tachilek

Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is planning to meet Pheu Thai politicians and red-shirt supporters in the Myanmar border town of Tachilek, sources said Friday.

The visit to Tachilek, which sits across the border from Chiang Rai's Mae Sai district, is set for early next month but the exact schedule has not yet been finalised.

Several groups of politicians, including members of the House No.111 group and a number of incumbent Pheu Thai ministers, as well as red shirts, are preparing to travel to meet Thaksin in Tachilek.
