Gracing us with a mix of classics

The Thailand Sanctuary Symphony Orchestra (TSSO) and vocalists Mongkol and Duangdao Chayasirisobhon, Supakorn Sripromtong, Kitchakarn Sikhareeritthakul and Woralak Tanapornparn are preparing to take audiences over the rainbow on an eclectic evening of classics.

TSSOConcert&Musicals takes place at the auditorium of Siam Ratchada Music School, ground floor of Fortune Town on Ratchadaphisek Road, on Nov 7 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost 250 and 500 baht and can be purchased from Robinson Piano at Siam Discovery (tel 02-658-1080/1). For more details, call 081-682-8000.

The show, entitled "TSSO Concert & Musicals" on Nov 7, will feature the orchestra under the baton of Dr Ashley Williams as a group of 25 musicians will be crooning songs from famous musicals.

The programme will include Amazing Grace by John Newton, Falling Rain by HM King Bhumibol, Over The Rainbow by Harold Arlen, Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach, Concerto for 2 Flute in C Major (1,3 movement) by Antonio Vivaldi, traditional Thai song Lao Somdej, Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone, Symphony No. 25 (1, 4 movement) by Mozart, I Dreamed A Dream by Alain Boublil, La ci darem la mano from Don Giovanni by Mozart, Anthem from Chess by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Memory and Music of The Night by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The concert is organised by D&M Music Studio and the William Joseph Music Foundation in India.
