The Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bond on the silver screen at L'Appart rooftop bar and restaurant with the "002 for 007" Champagne dinner on November 5.

L’Appart, the chic rooftop bar and restaurant of the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, will be the venue for the ‘002 for 007’ Champagne dinner on Nov 5.

The sophisticated Bond-inspired evening of fine dining and bubbly will see chef Jeremy Tourret delighting diners with his special four-course menu of French cuisine infused with a touch of Asia. Each dish has been created to complement Bollinger's limited edition La Grande Annee 2002. The evening will begin with a "Shaken, Not Stirred" martini reception in the stylish 32nd floor restaurant followed by a divine James Bond-themed dinner menu. The first act, "For Your Mouth Only" will be a lobster medallion with bisque foam. Diners will also enjoy a "Casino Royale" starter of homemade foie gras terrine with Champagne jelly and cigare espuma paired with Bollinger Special Cuvee.

This will be followed with the "Moonraker" pan-fried monkfish with morel mushrooms and a sparkling wine beurre blanc served with Bollinger Le Grande Annee 2012.

The main course is the "Live & Let Die" consisting of yellow chicken breast stuffed with black truffle, olive oil mousseline potato and foie gras sauce complemented by Bollinger Rose. The evening will end in style with a heavenly "Skyfall" dessert.

The price is 7,007 baht net including the one-hour martini reception with canapes and dinner.

The "Shaken, Not Stirred" martini cocktail reception is from 6.30pm. Dinner starts from 7.30pm.
