Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) presents "Temporary Storage #01", a project-based exhibition exploring the possibility of creating multi-platforms for contemporary art exhibitions.
Temporary Storage #01 will go on show on 5th floor of BACC from Nov 10-Dec 9. The opening ceremony is on Nov 10 at 6pm. The art centre is located at Pathumwan intersection and it opens Tue-Sun from 10amto 9pm. Call 02-214-6630 ext 519 or visit the website temporary-storage.tumblr.com.
It focuses on the process of transmitting research works, artworks and ideas produced by artists and those working in related fields, to the public.
The exhibition is an overlapping platform for intervention and participation of both the artists and the viewers and also a platform for future projects. Instead of presenting the whole idea as a single narrative, the exhibition provides the possibility of reading, interpreting and perceiving the works in the context of time and place and emphasises the viewers' experiences.
The works on show are from artists both in Thailand and overseas, including Orawan Arunrak, Pattara Chanruechachai, Viriya Chotpanyavisut, Disorn Duangdao, Suwicha Dussadeewanich, Supapong Laodheerasiri, Pratchaya Phinthong, Miti Ruangkritya, Pathompon Tesprateep, Sathit Sattarasart and Julia Schwadron, as well as architects, jewellery designer Noon Passama, art historian and independent curator Vipash Purichanont and non-profit organisation The Reading Room.
