English actress Rachel Weisz nabbed the female lead in David Cronenberg's Maps of the Stars, reveals Le Film Français. Robert Pattinson and Viggo Mortensen are also part of the cast in the film about Hollywood's movie industry.

Announced during the Cannes festival, Maps of the Stars is starting to take shape. Weisz joins Pattinson (Cosmopolis) and Mortensen (A History of Violence) in this movie based on a script by Bruce Wagner.

Production will be shared between Canada's Prospero Pictures, Germany's Integral Films and France's SBS productions.

David Cronenberg will start shooting Maps of the Stars next spring in Canada and LA.
