Rare Saturday cabinet meeting

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Saturday afternoon called an urgent meeting of the cabinet at Baan Phitsanulok.
It was speculated that Ms Yingluck and other ministers would discuss preparations for the censure debate by the opposition Democrats, scheduled for Nov 25-26.
Among those attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung, Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat, and Information and Communications Technology Minister Anudith Nakornthap.
Also attending were Social Development and Human Security Minister Santi Prompat; Science and Technology Worawat Ua-apinyakul; Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom, his depyty Natthawut Saikuar; Deputy Interior Minister Sermsak Pongpanich; Deputy Agriculture Minister Yuthapong Charassathian; and Public Health Minister Pradit Sinthavanarong.
Pheu Thai secretary-general Phumtham Vejchayachai and the party’s legal team also joined the meeting, according to the reports.
