The four covers revealed Monday via Nicola Formichetti's instagram page feature Japanese blogger and pop star Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Hong Kong megastar Angelababy alongside Formichetti himself.
Angelababy (Angela Yeung Wing), the Chinese actress and model is a star across Asia, with Avex Group, Japan's biggest record label and talent agency, signing her rights for the Japanese market in 2009 and catapulting her to fame as one of the faces of Vidal Sassoon.
Nineteen-year-old Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (born Kiriko Takemura) is a Japanese fashion and music sensation, based in Tokyo's famed Harajuki district.
Formichetti has an Italian father and Japanese mother and spends most of his time working as the creatuve director at Parisian brand Mugler. The 35-year-old is no stranger to Asia, working as the fashion director of Vogue Hommes Japan and with international clothing retailler Uniqlo, having delivered two seasons for the Uniqlo Innovation Project.
Formichetti also fills styling and creative direction roles for Lady Gaga and Azealia Banks.
Following Formichetti on twitter seems to offer some benefits: just before this fall's fashion show for Mugler, he invited anyone able to turn up: "not supposed to do this but f**k it. if you want to see the show tonight, just come and we'll figure it out @muglerlive @ladygaga #mugler"
The magazine covers will hit newsstands this Friday. Dazed & Confused is a London-based style magazine, founded in 1992 by Jefferson Hack and photographer Rankin.
