A giant doll is roaming The Circle Ratchapruk, but she doesn't have a name yet.

The Wind Up Doll Village fair is running at The Circle Ratchapruk, a community mall on Ratchaphruek Road, until Jan 12. For more information, call 02-865-6850 or visit www.thecircle.co.th or www.facebook.com/thecircleratchapruk.

Held for shoppers to bid farewell to the old year and welcome in the season of joy, "The Wind Up Doll Village" fair features dolls of all types.

However, the highlight is sure to be a blonde girl doll that stands 4.5m tall and can move like a real person.

The doll is mechanically controlled by a special technique designed by illustrator/ designer Terawat Teankaprasith and Rangsiman Harnkaewying, who are behind commercials and mock-ups and have been involved in films like Giant and Transformers. Visitors can send in their ideas for what the giant doll should be named in a contest via The Circle Ratchapruk's Facebook page by Dec 15. The winner will receive an iPhone 5.

The fair also features activities and entertainment from around the world, including a German mime performance and a show by Mr Balloon Man.
