Studio Zoom is bringing a new approach to its annual performance titled "Style Passion Dance".
As a dance studio which concentrates on street, jazz and contemporary dance, Studio Zoom is preparing to merge street with classic for an even more exciting performance.
The performance will highlight the current big dance trend in the US, known as "LA Style" or "New Style Hip Hop", performed by six unique dancers from ZoomboX, a group founded last year by Kenichi Kasamatsu and Wongsatron Maneerat.
Joining the dancers from Studio Zoom will be a group of young opera singers known as Viva, five impeccably good-looking, classically trained singers from Thailand who are gaining a reputation as one of Thailand's great success stories in the classical crossover market.
It is a first for Thailand that a home-grown pop opera group has been put together from scratch in Bangkok. Since their stunning debut in Bangkok last December, they have toured Asia and South Africa to great success. They will introduce their version of The Phantom Of The Opera with dancing arranged by two of the country's leading ballet and jazz choreographers, Long Zhao and Artino Ek-Viroun.
The performance will take place on Sunday at 7pm, at the New International School of Thailand, Sukhumvit Soi 15.
Tickets priced at 500 baht are available at Studio Zoom.
