This year's concept cars are highlighting two key aspects: sleek-looking designs and eco-friendly powertrains.
Hyundai i-oniq

Korea's largest carmaker is showcasing a concept car with two highlights: a sleek-looking three-door body and range-extending electric powertrain. By combining a 109hp electric motor and 61hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, the i-oniq has a total range of 700km; 120km with pure electricity.
Mazda Shinari

This is the concept car that ushered the new design language into Mazda's latest cars including the CX-5 and 6, both of which have yet to go on sale in Thailand. The Shinari is highly likely to please car enthusiasts who simply cherish staring at a good-looking saloon.
Lexus LF-LC

After making its world debut in Detroit at the beginning of this year, Lexus's 2+2 concept car comes to Thailand for the first time. The stylish LF-LC previews a possible coupe variation based on the GS executive saloon to potentially rival the likes of the BMW 6-series.
Nissan Esflow

Nissan is continuing to emphasise its electric vehicle future with this sporty concept. The two-seater has got the Leaf's electric propulsion driving the rear wheel and can go from 0-100kph in less than 5sec. The Esflow is very much like a futuristic interpretation of a Fairlady EV.
Tata Megapixel

India's ambitious carmaker has come up with a good-looking city car that could make it to production in the future. More important is the range-extending electric drivetrain that can run for 900km together with electric and conventional combustion motors.
