Here's an interesting live showcase to help end the year with a bang. Citizens! are set to perform live in Thailand for the first time.

Next to Normal presents Citizens! Live in Bangkok, the first of the multi-brand store's music initiatives.
In addition to the performance by Citizens! there will be a live visual performances from A.P.C, Band of Outsiders, Rag&Bone, Kitsune and Thom Browne, an installation from 42 Below and after-show party by leading deejays also thrown into the mix. Avant-garde agent provocateur Gene Kasidit is also going to paint the town red with his full band.
Signed with Kitsune even before they had a band name and produced by Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, Citizens! have come a long way from squabbling over which tunes to play at a house party. Lead single True Romance propelled Tom Burke, who's also one of the faces for Hedi Slimane's Saint Laurent 2013 campaign, Lawrence Diamond, Mike Evans, Martyn Richmond and Thom Rhoades onto everyone's radar last year.
The debut album, Here We Are, released this year, proves that there's more to Citizens! than just classic pop subversion.
Citizens! experimented in the recording studio where each track received different treatments. The five-piece hot commodity steered away from studio tricks such as auto-tuning, editing or timing correction.
Next to Normal Presents Citizens! Live in Bangkok is on Dec 4 at Zen Gallery, 8th floor CentralWorld. Doors open at 8pm. Ticket cost 950 baht and are available at the Next to Normal store at CentralWorld, Atrium Zone. Purchases of 7,000 baht at Next to Normal will receive a free ticket.
