Phatpicha Thewanauthaiwong, Oranuch Sangsuriyachun, Sunee and Pornsit Sriorathaikul, Maleerat and Poowadee Kunpalin, and Surin Sriorathaikul.

The dinner and fashion show took place in the Lert Wanalai Ballroom, Swissotel Nai Lert Park.

The jewellery collection drew inspiration from the favourite bird of the Greek goddess Hera _ the peacock.

With the invitation card stating "White Peacock" as the dress code, guests were only too happy to oblige. The exhibition area in front of the ballroom soon looked like the setting for a mass wedding as guests turned up in white gowns of different styles, from the most simple and elegant to the most elaborate and frothy. They also brought out their red-carpet bling for the occasion, and one would be hard-pressed to say who had the biggest diamond or emerald of all.

After viewing the new collection in the display cases, guests then posed for a polaroid picture at a set backdrop just prior to entering the ballroom, which had been transformed into a fairy-tale land with an assortment of white flowers, crystal chandelier candlesticks and peacock-themed decorations.

Highlight of the show: Jenny Tienposuwan wearing the White Peacock diamond set.

According to the host, Suriyon Sriorathaikul, managing director of Beauty Gems Group, the jewellery collection, which comprises 22 sets, took over a year to create. Designer Vatanika Patamasingh na Ayudhya came up with a bridal and couture collection that emphasises the Grecian look of draping enhanced with lace details. The colour tones of the collection were white, cream, gold, pink, green and beige, with a single ruby red gown providing an accent.

During dinner, guests were entertained with an opera-themed vocal performance by contestants from The Voice Thailand.

Then it was time for the main event _ the fashion show, featuring celebrity models starting with Napaporn Bodiratnangkura Narongdej, whose family owns the hotel. She earned great applause for the stunning green and beige off-the-shoulder gown with a high slit that showed off her tanned and toned legs, topped with a diamond necklace and earring set that Argus, the mythical giant with 100 eyes, would be proud of.

One after another they came in their gorgeous gowns and stunning jewellery, and guests just couldn't get enough. They were joined by top models, and for the finale, TV star Jenny Tienposuwan stepped out to huge applause in a gold lace gown with the "White Peacock" diamond set, the necklace inspired by the peacock, with a dazzling alignment of 90 carats of yellow diamonds.
