Unwrapping Gaysorn's Most Wanted

Kicking off the festive season in style, Bangkok’s luxury shopping mall, Gaysorn Shopping Centre, has already unveiled their 10th anniversary celebrations

Every year, you can be sure of a grand affair, during the festive season, at one of central Bangkok's premiere shopping malls, but none more illustrious than at Gaysorn Shopping Centre. For the last decade, they have been helping shoppers celebrate, find gift ideas and rewarding their patronage accordingly, in a fun and vibrant manner. Décor dangles from the ceiling in the atrium, with presents, tinsel, nutcrackers, presents and baubles on show, and everyone is getting into the Christmas and New Year spirit of giving.

This year is a special milestone for Gaysorn, as they mark their 10th anniversary with a celebration to top all previous promotions and year-end activities. The theme, this year, is Gaysorn's Most Wanted and is already in full swing! Launching the Gaysorn 10th Anniversary Celebration on 21st November 2012 was their Most Wanted Christmas Shopping Party, as a big Thankyou to their loyal shoppers, complete with red carpet and plenty of photo opportunities for the who's who of Bangkok and beyond. This exclusive party saw a host of activities, including the lighting of their 3-storey Christmas tree, live music from international acts and DJs, freeflow of food and drinks, extended late night shopping, a prize draw, the start of their Soi Dao prizes and the debut of their Most Wanted Sale of the Decade. The entire mall was turned into one hugely successful and festively featured party, from 7pm til late.

This year's events are a hint of things to come with the future of Gaysorn. A year of firsts, 2012 headlines the unprecedented inclusion of all Gaysorn brands in the colossal sale and all stores having started their sale at the same time, running from now until 5th January 2013, to ensure all shoppers have the best buys for the most exclusive prices, with up to 70% off, just in time before Christmas. If he travels extensively, then you could splurge on a Tumi wheeled suitcase or a stylish Boss hand-carry leather bag. For ladies, La Perlas lingerie makes a sexy, intimate statement, while a Miss Dior handbag, a Burberry clutch or bejewelled Prada purse will not go unappreciated. Be sure to get the right size for some Emilio Pucci slingbacks or Charlotte Olympia platform heels, or play it reassuringly safe with a Harry Winston timepiece. For a touch of whimsy, Louis Vuitton has a playful monogrammed dotted shoulderbag from Yayoi Kusama Collection and Ferragamo has some stunning printed scarves. For some creative and indulgent home gift ideas, head to Almeta and choose from Missoni cushions and towels, Cire Trvdon scented candles or Santa Maria Novella ambient room spray.

For both Soi Dao prizes and credit card promotion redemption, a dedicated area has been set up in the Lobby Level, next to the brand new special temporary Hugo Boss store beside the escalator, in the atrium area.

Closing 2012, with such an epic occasion is a tangible warm-up to what the next ten years literally have in store for Gaysorn. They promise new brands, huge new stores, a restructuring of some of the floors, more restaurants, all making Gaysorn look better and fresher, offering up a new design experience within. However, never fear, Gaysorn will constantly remain open for business as usual, despite the exciting changes afoot. Tell-tale signs can already been seen with the opening of the new and chic-looking skylink from the skytrain skywalk, the first physical and noticeable improvement to the mall, more befitting of such a high-end shopping destination. We are reassured that this is just the beginning The new Gaysorn website (www.gaysorn.com) and Gaysorn Facebook page (www.facebook.com/gaysornshoppingcentre) have already been launched and you are assured to keep track and stay updated on all news and happenings to be revealed throughout the course of 2013.
