An eldery woman was found dead with multiple knife wounds in a rubber plantation in Khok Pho district of Pattani province on Monday.

Pol Lt-Col Chamlong Suwalak of Napradu police station said the woman's body was found about 12.30pm. She was identified as Sanguan Phetson, 59, of village 5 in tambon Napradu.

She had deep cuts to her face and her throat had been cut with a knife.
