A lawyer for Korkaew Pikulthong on Tuesday applied to the Criminal Court for bail for the Pheu Thai list MP so that he can join the nation in giving blessings to His Majesty the King on his birthday, Dec 5.
Lawyer Jessada Chandee offered 600,000 baht as collateral.
In the request, Mr Korkaew said he, as an MP, wanted to join the nation in giving His Majesty a birthday blessing on Dec 5, and to attend the garden party on Dec 7.
Moreover, as a member of the House committee on economic development, he was originally scheduled to travel abroad from Dec 8-14.
On Nov 30, the court revoked bail for Mr Korkaew for threatening Constitution Court judges in a public speech.
The court accept the bail request for consideration.
