Satun: Zero crime on King's birthday

Not a single crime was reported in Satun province on the King's birthday, according the provincial police force.

During the 24 hours of Dece 5, 2012, not even a single incident occurred in the province, according to a report in Thai Rath.

Pol Col Somkuan Kampeera, the Satun police commander, pointed out that it was the first time ever that the province recorded zero crime in a day.

"All Thai people were probably trying to do good deeds to honour His Majesty. Many of them may be at home, watching the live television broadcast of the King's public appearance while others were preparing to take part in the celebration at the provincial town hall," Pol Col Somkuan said, believing that was the reason behind  the crime-free day.
