Full probe demanded into girl's death

Relatives and friends of a 10th grade student killed in a fall from a condominium building in September gathered in front of the Royal Police Headquarters on Thursday demanding a full investigation into her death.

Pinsuda Thrap-mee, 14, plunged from a condominium in Sukhumvit area on Sept 5. Police decided her death was an accident.

About 20 of her school friends and members of her family are demanding that national police chief Pol Gen Adul Seangsingkeaw order a “thorough” investigation into her death.

They said even though police ruled the death accidental, there was evidence of a struggle and unexplained marks on the girl’s body.

Moreover, the condominium management had stalled before releasing surveillance camera footage after the accident.

The girl's family and friends claim the surveillance video was edited before being handed to the police.

Pol Maj Gen Pisit Tanprasert, secretary to the Royal Thai Police, received the complaint on the police chief's behalf and promised a speedy investigation into the young teenager’s death.
