Thai Premier League champions SCG Muang Thong United were handed a tough AFC Champions League draw against two former winners yesterday.
They were drawn in Group F with South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan, winners in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
The other side in the group are Italian Marcello Lippi's Guangzhou Evergrande of China.
Thai FA Cup winners Buriram United will play in a one-match play-off at A-League champions Brisbane Roar on Feb 9. The winners will be in Group E along with FC Seoul (South Korea), Vegalta Sendai (Japan) and Jiangsu Sainty (China). The group stages begin on Feb 26.
