Constitutional amendment will lead to violence, according to the majority of respondents to an Abac Poll published on Sunday.
56.1% of those polled said it would be easy for MPs in the government bloc to vote on the charter amendment bill in the third reading, while 43.9% said it would not be easy.
63.4% believed the problem over the constitution would not be easily concluded, while 36.6% thought otherwise.
74.3% of the respondents believed constitutional amendment would lead to violence, up from 68% in August.
67.5% believed there would be another mass anti-government rally next year.
Asked what they thought had deprived the Thai people of happiness, 42.7% blamed politics, 33.4% economic problems and 23.9% social problems.
The poll was conducted on 2,062 people aged 18 and over between Nov 26-Dec 8 in 17 provinces: Bangkok, Phetchaburi, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Prakan, Uttaradit, Lampang, Chiang Rai, Mukdahan, Nong Khai, Sakon Nakhon, Loei, Roi-et, Buri Ram, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla.
