3G licences ready for winners

The three winners of the 3G spectrum auction could collect their licences from today, as he already signed them, National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) chairman Thares Punsri said on Tuesday.

The three winners in the spectrum auction are Advanced Info Service's Advanced Wireless Network, Total Access Communication's Dtac Network and True Corporation's Real Future.

Thakorn Tanthasit, the NBTC secretary-general, said after receiving their licences the firms were required to expand their networks to cover at least 80% of the population in four years and reduce service charges by at least 15%.
