Case filed against charter court judges

A member of the Pheu Thai Party on Wednesday filed a complaint with the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) against six Constitution Court judges for alleged neglect of duty.

Singthong Buachum was accompanied by Pheu Thai lawyer Picha Wijitsilp when he filed the complaint with Pol Lt-Col Natpakorn Panyadi, a CSD investigator.

The six judges named in the complaint are Charan Pakdithanakul, Charoon Inthacharn, Chalermpol Ek-uru, Nurak Mapraneet, Supoj Khaimuk and Udomsak Nitimontri.

In the complaint, the six judges are acused of neglect in failing to order the Pitak Siam group under Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit to called off its rally on Nov 24 at the Royal Plaza, as Mr Singthong had asked the court to do.

As a result, there were clashes between protesters and police, causing casualties and leading to the arrest of many people.  The Pitak Siam rally also caused the government spend more than 100 million baht to maintain law and order.
