Park it at the Absolut Parc

Art, fashion and beat at Siam Paragon

Absolut vodka, the world's leading vodka maker, is once again bringing holiday excitement to Bangkokians. Now entering its third year, Absolut Parc at Siam Paragon is pulling out all the stops to make the 24-day bash one of its most exciting ever.

This year's event will run from 8-31 December, 06:00pm until midnight and will be identified through three very creative entertainment zones focusing on Art, Fashion and Beat. These three zones will encompass 3,500 square metres of space and include a full assortment of entertainment.

Charaspan Srisawadi, Brand Director of Pernod Ricard Thailand said that, "this year we are focusing on things that have never been done before. Our art section should be especially interesting to art lovers in Thailand." She is talking about the addition of Absolut's "Art Wall". The Absolut Art wall has been created by Shy Pongstorn Limanon of Mass Universe and well known street graffiti artist P7. In addition to that, all the seating, tables and de{aac}cor will be designed by surrealist, pop artist, Thaweesak Srithongdee (known as Lolay). To round out the zone, there will be a digital ABSOLUT art wall on which everyone can create their own masterpieces and upload to their social network immediately.

For the fashionista, ABSOLUT has collaborated with various fashion designers to create an exciting fashion zone. Once you have seen the wall art and the body art, it is time for the beat. A 20 metre LED stage, state-of-the-art sound system and lighting display, stunning graphics and 28 famous Thai bands, including over 100 musicians, are sure to keep you going each and every night of the holiday season.

Some of the musical highlights will include Stamp, Joey Boy, Bee Peerapat, 25 Hours, Room39, Slot Machine, Tattoo Colour, Jetset'er, Mild, Titanium, Girly Berry, Four and Mod, Neko Jump, and many more. On select evenings the experience will get ramped up even more with a Christmas Day featuring the disco sounds of Burin Boonvisut, Boxing Day with Da Endorphine and a New Year's Eve countdown with Boy Peacemaker, Instinct, Calories Blah Blah and ETC.

Don't look at this event as merely a party, however. Pernod Ricard is using this to bring in the true connoisseur as well. A special lounge has been set up to serve the brand's latest super premium product, Absolut Elyx. This limited quantity, hand-crafted spirit is distilled using a vintage rectification still, copper pumps and pipes and additional copper packets to purify the vodka. The company is sourcing a select sample of estate wheat along with naturally purified water to create a spirit with floral and fruit tones. But it's the natural, silky smooth texture of the vodka that will get you.

If you're a true connoisseur, a budding beginner or just fascinated by the brand, the Absolut Elyx Shop will be the spot for you. A full range of collectibles will be available including the individually designed and numbered bottles mentioned earlier as well as the ability to reserve a bottle of Absolut Elyx.

The Absolut team has promised festive "surprises" every day of the event. All of this paired with catering by the legendary Falabella team and it looks like a promising place to spend some holiday time. So if you are tired of the boring old beer gardens, stop by Siam Paragon to experience the art, fashion and beat of one of the world's leading brands. It should be a great place to "Parc."

Lastly, if you're a real Absolut Fan, you don't want to miss the great collectible opportunity. Absolut collectors from around the world fly in purchase highly prized items at the 'Absolut Shop' every year. This year, the main highlight will be Absolut Unique. Absolut Vodka joined with seven of Thailand's most well known artists including Tada Varich, Pomme Chan, Rukkit Kuanhawate, Thaweesak Srithongdee, Shy Pongstorn Limanon, Wisut Ponnimit, and Hathairat Charoenchaichana. Each has garnered inspiration from a unique concept that the Absolut Company launched earlier.

For an entire month the Absolut factory closed its bottling plant strictly to work on creating one of a kind, collectible bottles. Using 38 different colours, 51 unique patterns, splash guns, a colour generating machine and an algorithm Absolut created nearly 4 million individual bottle styles that they have distributed worldwide. Thailand has received a limited supply of these 'individually numbered' bottles and the seven Thai artists named above have each chosen one from which to create an amazing piece of artwork that will be on display at the Absolut Unique Gallery at Siam Paragon. Apart from Absolut Unique, there are plenty of other versions that you can purchase including Absolut Glimmer, Absolut Illusion, Absolut Mode, and many more.
