New screenshots for Lego City: Undercover show what fans could be getting their hands on once the game releases on Wii U in 2013.

Think Grand Theft Auto but with a more immediately wholesome approach: Chase McCain is an undercover detective, on a mission to prevent Rex Fury from wreaking criminal havoc upon Lego City.

The game is being handled by TT Games, whose most recent game Lego Lord of the Rings just released across PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles in November; Grand Theft Auto V, meanwhile, is scheduled for spring 2013 with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as confirmed recipients.
