Soldier in viral video arrested

The angry man who was seen assaulting another man in a fit of road rage in a video taken by the victim's wife that has gone viral on the internet has been identified and arrested, reports said on Thursday.

Thai army deputy spokesman  Col Winthai Suwaree said the man in the video is an army private.

"The private admitted that he was guilty, and said he would like to apologise to the victims," said Col Winthai, "It  is unclear whether the soldier was drunk at the time of the offence or not.”
 
Col Winthai said the victims filed a complaint with police. The case will be dealt with according to the law, he said.
 
In the video, the a man is seen threatening and forcing the victims to park their car after being honked at several times for driving recklessly on Tuesday night.

The angry man then banged on the victims’ car several times and opened the car door and loudly threatened them.

A woman who was with the offender tried to stop him and apologised to the victims.
 
“Who did you think you were honking?” the man yelled before attacking them.
 
The angry man yelled he was not scared of getting arrested, claiming that he was a high ranking army officer and returned to his car.

 
The video was taken by the victim’s wife.
