Luxurious Gifting

It's been a great year for menswear. More new shops were opened in 2012 to cater to the taste and style of gentlemen, and when the holiday season hit the calendar, more special editions and selected ranges filled the shelves for both boys who want something special for themselves, and girls who want something special for their boys.

The Prada holiday collection comes in uberluxurious crocodileembossed leather.

Let's start with those that offer something a little conservative and classic in form and colour, with a funky twist.

Coach's holiday collection for men features once again a collaboration range with London-born, New York-based artist Hugo Guinness. The premium leather materials with a supple finish and antique brass accents come in the form of passport cases, electronic zip-cord pouches and iPad cases, all with Guinness' witty block-print art embossed in gold foil.

Having launched its store just this year, Alfred Dunhill makes sure its Emporium venue never fails to stock supreme luxury goods for men, especially during this special season. Those looking for something timeless, classic and precious will find what they are looking for in this range.

Highlights are the Endeavour 48hr Bag, crafted from supple and lightweight buffalo skin. Simple, masculine, and yet timeless, it's a great bag for both everyday use and overnight travel. Its functionality also marvels, thanks to a padded laptop sleeve, multiple compartments and an external hidden smartphone pocket.

Next up is another exclusive menswear line by the godfather of Italian tailoring, Ermenegildo Zegna. The Ermenegildo Zegna collection offers a wide range of products which, despite sticking to simplicity, comes with premium-quality materials and meticulous production that would make each and every piece a classic item of clothing that stands the test of time. Simply elegant in grey and burgundy, the iPad organiser and smartphone cases boast the Zegna logo in shiny palladium, with simil-suede lining.

Cashmere and silk become materials Zegna chooses for luxury in the collection, especially in ties and gloves, which also stick to a palette of greys and burgundies.

Prada is another brand whose holiday collection is, though rarely available in the Thai stores, extensive and impressive. Despite a number of pieces that bear motifs generated from the mainline winter 2012 collection, the brand never forgets to offer some classic numbers that would make a perfect gift for all seasons. This time, it's a range of accessories in crocodile-embossed leather including corkscrews, wallets, iPad sleeves and even eyeglass cases.
