NACC: Pongthep richest minister

Education Minister Pongthep Thepkanchana and his spouse had declared assets totalling 2.92 billion baht, making him the richest cabinet minister in the Yingluck 3 cabinet, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) reported on Monday.

The NACC this morning disclosed the assets and liabilities of the ministers under the Yingluck Shinawatra administration, after 23 new ministers have taken offices since November 1.

The second richest is Deputy Interior Minister Pol Lt-Gen Chat Kuldilok, with assets of 1.14 billion baht.

Public Health Minister Pradit Sinthawarong took third place, having total assets of 963.77 million baht.

Deputy Public Health Minister Chonnan Srikaew was the poorest cabinet member, having only 3.41 million baht in assets, followed by Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Yuthapong Charassathian with his 5.19 million baht of declared assets.
