Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn left the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital for Wang Sapathum on Thursday morning to continue her recovery after the successful surgical removal of calcium deposits in her chest.

The Princess, 57, appeared healthy and buoyant when she departed the hospital at 10.20am. Many well-wishers gathered at the hospital's ground floor to see her off. They repeatedly shout "Long Live the Princess" until her motorcade left the hospital.

The Royal Household Bureau said doctors found the deposits on her chest during an annual medical check-up at the hospital.

The Princess rested at the hospital on Dec 16 and underwent surgery on the next day. The deposits were removed successfully.
