American vocal and guitar duo Tuck & Patti will perform a charity concert at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel on Friday at 9pm.

Renowned for their virtuoso musical talents that span jazz, R&B, and crossover recordings, the gifted husband-and-wife duo from the San Francisco Bay Area has been performing since 1981.

A string of their albums including Tears Of Joy, Learning To Fly, and A Gift Of Love have enjoyed international acclaim while their live shows continue to thrill audiences. Ten-time Grammy Award winner Bobby McFerrin described them as "the best duo on the planet".

They will be joined by their close friend, renowned harmonica player Matthew Kelly. His friendship with Patti spans four decades and in the early 70s their band backed the great blues guitarist T-Bone Walker. Kelly has also had the privilege of sharing the stage with John Lee Hooker, Brownie McGee, Albert Collins, Champion Jack Dupree, and many others. After years of playing in his own band Kingfish, along with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Kelly and his wife Mary settled in Thailand where they devote their time to charitable works helping children at risk, developing educational opportunities and working with impoverished communities.

All proceeds from the concert will go to the Mechai Bamboo School, a charity established by Mechai Viravaidya, chairman of the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation.

Mechai is the recipient of numerous awards including the Bill and Melinda Gates Award for Global Health, the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, and the Prince Mahidol Award for Public Health.
