Cop kills brother, sister-in-law over will

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT – A police officer shot his brother and his brother's wife to death and then attempted to kill himself over a disputed will, officers said on Friday.

The incident took place at a petrol station in Nakhon Si Thammarat's Khanom district, said Pol Lt Col Jirapong Fairaj of the Khanom police station.

A witness told police that Pol Sen Sgt Maj Watee Jitglub, 40, shot himself in the head after killing Alongkorn Jitglub, 47, and his wife Sripen, 45. The gunman sustained a severe gunshot wound to the head and was rushed to hospital.

Prior to the incident, Pol Sen Sgt Maj Watee had driven his car to the station and had an argument with Alongkorn, who owned the station.

Suddenly, Pol Sen Sgt Maj Watee took out his pistol and shot his brother twice. Sripen stepped in and begged for her husband's life but she was shot in the head.

The victims' relatives told police that the siblings had had a fight over a family inheritance worth 100 million baht.
