WHA Corporation (WHA), a listed warehouse operator, aims to raise revenue by more than 30% this year from 300,000 square metres in new space this year.

"We are talking to several potential warehouse space buyers," said CEO Somyos Anantaprayoon.

The company develops warehouses for rent and for sale, with a policy to sell assets to WHA Premium Factory and Warehouse Freehold and Leasehold Property Fund (WHAPF) which is managed by the company.

Mr Somyos said WHA had signed memoranda of understanding with international companies to buy 45,000 square metres in warehouse space.

As well, several international companies seeking to expand to Asean from Thailand are in talks with WHA to buy space.

WHA plans to invest 4.8 billion baht in new space this year. The firm will hold roadshows in Hong Kong (Jan 23-24) and Singapore (March 4-6).

WHAPF's second public offering of 2.08 billion baht began trade yesterday. The proceeds will be used to invest in a warehouse on Bang Na-Trat Highway and the KAO Project 2 in Chon Buri province.

WHA shares closed on the SET yesterday at 45.50 baht, up 6.25 baht, in trade worth 679.92 million baht. WHAPF closed at 11.30 baht, down 20 satang, in trade worth 2.63 million baht.
