Wife hired hitmen to kill husband

CHIANG MAI - Police have arrested and charged a woman with hiring three men to murder her husband back in October 2011.

Nittaya Jirayanigoon, 37, and the three accused hitmen, Nattchai Puaksong, 47, Tonnarat Ratanasupa, 38, and Sgt Maj Tanachai Suapraem, 52, were apprehended and charged with conspiracy to murder, reports said.

Nittaya confessed that she paid them 200,000 baht to slay her husband, Somchai Terjaa, police said.

Investigators concluded that the hitmen drove in front of Somchai’s car and forced him to park. They dragged the man out of his vehicle and Nattchai then shot him.

Nittaya said she sold Somchai’s assets and laundered his money for investment while he was serving time in prison on drug charges.

After her husband was released, he found out what she had done. He then physically abused her and threatened to kill her, she said. So she decided she had to kill him first.
