Let's make 2013 a greener year. That's the goal the Bangkok Big Trees Project is working towards.
The group is appealing for donations to its Green Miles project, for which the first assigned mission is the planting of trees at Wat Pichaiyatikaram in the Klong San area on Jan 27.
Donations can be made in cash or in the form of tree saplings. The list of plants still needed for the temple replanting project comprises: put supachoke (gardenia Cape jasmine); put roi malai (gardenia); cha kokkian (Fukien tea tree); nuad plamuk (Kyoto dwarf tree); and puang thong (gold shower).
If you want to make a cash donation to the cause, deposit your contribution in account no. 012-263-5511 at Siam Commercial Bank's Ladya branch (account name: Kongtoon Booniti Sahakorn). If you want to donate saplings for the Klong San planting, which kicks off at 8am on the day, you can drop them off at 861 Ladya Road; call Waiyana on 02-437-5279.
