Since the turn of the century, the street photographer collective known as In-Public has captured the unusual in the everyday. Now the group is bringing its vision to Bangkok with an exhibition at the Thailand Creative & Design Center.

In-Public: An Exhibition of Street Photography will be on show at the Thailand Creative&Design Center, 6th floor, Emporium, from Feb 6 to March 24. The centre is open daily from 10.30am to 9pm. For more information, call 0-2664-8448 ext 213/4 or visit www.tcdc.or.th.

The centre, in collaboration with British Council, is hosting "In-Public: An Exhibition of Street Photography", which will open next week.

In-Public came about with the rise of the internet and has become influential in the international street photography community. The group has also contributed to the genre's resurgence.

The exhibition shows its members' divergent styles, but what they have in common is that all the photographs were taken in public spaces. They are united in showing what is real, are not set up or staged, and show ordinary people going about their lives.

The images evoke a surreal sense of the world, whether the photos were taken in London, India or Oregon, and have touches of elegance and warmth.
