The Chinese New Year celebration in Bangkok will be more striking than ever this year. A variety of Chinese cultural shows _ operas, dance and music _ have been reportedly imported to entertain Thai and Thai-Chinese guests at many shopping malls in the City of Angels, starting in the next few days.
The latest addition to the line-up will be Chinese acrobatics, which are expected to capture the eyes and hearts of many, at Future Park from Friday to Feb 17.
Held under the concept "Battle of Swing: Swing Sway and Swerve Amongst the Nature", the event is a rare chance to see an exceptional acrobatic battle between two world-famous troupes from Guangzhou and Changsha, China.
Taking turns to excite the audience for two hours each day for 10 days will be 15 breathtaking performances: Dragon Steel Wheel, Flying Man, Medley of Boneless Show, Celebrating Gymnastics, and Balancing Cycling.
The show will take place at the Alive Park of Future Park shopping complex daily at 7pm from Friday to Feb 17. There is no admission fee. Call 02-958-0011 ext 1162 and 1886.
