PAD indictments put off to March 14

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has postponed until March 14 the indictment of 114 members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) over their occupation of Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports in 2008.

The OAG was scheduled to issue an indictment order today, but agreed to the delay at the request of PAD lawyer Puangthip Boonsanong.

Ms Puangthip said the suspects in the case were still preparing surety for bail. They were in the process of entering a contract with the Justice Fund, which had approved between 600,000 and 800,000 baht for each of them to use as a guarantee for bail.

The OAG agreed to postpone indictment proceedings to March 14.
