Jazzing it up in the living room

Extraordinary jazz singer Cherryl Hayes is performing at The Living Room of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit with the Randy Cannon Group today and tomorrow at 9.15pm.

Cherryl is a highly accomplished, vibrant jazz vocalist with an enchanting voice and sophisticated style. A skilled interpreter of the jazz greats including Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald, Cherryl's commanding stage presence and versatility makes her a joy to watch. Cherryl has performed in the US, Europe and Asia.
She currently teaches jazz vocals to music students at Bangkok's renowned Mahidol University.
She had the honour to sing for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on more than 10 occasions. The Randy Cannon Group will complement her inspiring performance . Cannon has been described by jazz critic Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times as a pianist of formidable gifts and consistently galvanising rhythmic sensitivity.
His sensational group features his brother Steven Cannon, the internationally acclaimed trumpeter; Erik Hargrove on drums, a talented American musician who toured the world with the late great James Brown; and Thailand's leading bass player Therdsak Wongvichien.
