CCTVs burnt in arson attacks in Pattani

A living quarters of a village defence team, a mobile telephone signal tower and five closed-circuit television cameras (CCTVs) were set on fire in arson attacks in Pattani's Yarang district early Sunday, police said.
Pol Col Wasant Puangnoi, the Yarang police chief, said the first arson attack occurred at about 3.30am when the living quarters of the village defence team of Ban Pulato Rayo in tambon Rawaeng was set on fire by militants with used motorcycle tyres soaked with petrol.
At about the same time a mobile telephone signal tower at Ban Posan in tambon Pitumudi was completely burnt down with old motorcycle tyres. The damage was estimated at eight million baht.
Five CCTVs were also torched - one in frontf and one to the side of Yarang Hospital, and three at Ban Basa Woseng.
