Drama fans should prepare for the return of Japanese fever.

This time it will capture their hearts with famous series which will be broadcast on free TV channels and satellite TV in Thailand under the project called "J Series Festival".

Supported by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, this is the biggest collaboration between Thai and Japanese TV networks. The festival will introduce drama series from top Japanese TV stations including NHK, NTV, TBS, Fuji TV, TV Asahi and TV Tokyo.

To find out more about the Japanese drama series, fans are invited to a news conference and opening ceremony which will take place on March 17 from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. The venue is Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre of Siam Paragon.

This is an opportunity to see the trailers before anyone else and selected guests will get a chance to take photos with Japanese superstars who will fly in to help promote the project. They include Junnosuke Taguchi, an actor and charismatic member of J-pop boy band sensation Kat-Tun, and award-winning actress Miho Kanno.

Tokyo Girls' Style, an adorable five-piece J-pop girl group, and Piko, a stunning singer who can replicate both male and female voices, will entertain guests.

The event is open to everyone.
